I Require (MERCY) not Sacrifice.

                 Matt. 9,13              Newcomb

Jesus said,Ó Go and learn what that text means,

 ÒI require mercy, not sacrifice.

This was His answer to Pharisees who complained that He ate with sinners.  He is referring to the words of Hosea 6,V6. ÒFor I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than, burnt offerings.Ó  NOTE: This was a time when Israel had turned from God.  ( They were worshiping the sacrifice instead of God.  They didnÕt raise their heads to see the smoke, from the altar, rising to Heaven but were focused on the sacrifice. (Jesus would become the Ultimate.  A Sacrifice we all can/must worship, as our Redeemer.) Ending all animal sacrifice while validating the faith of those offering sacrifice to God in the past.))

JesusÕ healing ministry was filled with mercy; we often see this in the parables and stories of Jesus.
