Five were Foolish
MATT 26; v1-v13
When that day comes, the kingdom of Heaven will be like this. There were ten girls. Who, took their
lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent; when the
foolish ones took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the others took
flasks of oil with their lamps. As
the bridegroom was late in coming they all dozed off to sleep. But at midnight a cry was heard; Here is the bridegroom! Come out to
meet him. With that the girls all
got up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the prudent, Òour lamps are going out; give us some of your oil.Ó NoÓ they said. There will never be enough for all of us. You had better
go to the shop and buy some for yourselvesÓ While they were away the bridegroom
arrived. Those who were ready went
in with him to the wedding, and the door was shut. And then the other five came back Ò Sir, sirÓ Ô they cried,
Òopen the door for usÓ But he answered, I declare, I do not know you.Õ Keep awake then, for you never know the day or the
hour.

The Righteous will enter eternal
