SOLITARY, PERFECT and PRICELESS

THERE WAS NO GOLD AT THE MANGER

NO FRANKINCENSE,

NO MYRRH

Just water and salt to properly, cleanse the babe.

 

If we give, it is because of His Gift. The proper motivation for giving.

 

The story is a simple one.  We can understand the logistics.

I will list them here: The Wise men saw the same Star as did the
Shepherds who ran all the way to the manger. (Made haste)
But, the Wise men were then near Babylon, 2,000 miles away !

 

There was no Camel Express,
no fast food along the way,

or armed cavalry to protect the travelers. 
Bethlehem was as far away as is Nebraska from New York.

Without their ŇGeo Positioning gearÓ,
they wouldnŐt have made it at all.

 

The point of all this is that there were no gifts
at the stable except GodŐs Gift.

If God wanted the wise men at the stable,
He would have given them lead-time for the journey.

 

It was timely and Providential that the Gold arrived
just in time to finance the escape to Egypt.

 

 

  Please donŐt allow camels and kings, with their gifts,
divert our attention from the Christ Child this Christmas
or in ChristmasŐ to come.
